Learning Objectives

The tutorial will guide you in applying the concepts of algorithms, learned in previous labs, to actual coding in JavaScript, enabling you to:

1. Repeat statements for a definite number of times (Hour of Code: repeat N times), using the for statement.
2. Repeat statements for an indefinite number of times (Hour of Code: repeat until), using the while statement.

Instructions

Continue with the Codecademy JavaScript tutorial begun in the previous assignment.

1. For this assignment, we want you to complete the next four lessons:
   • Lessons 5–6: ‘For’ Loops in JavaScript
     5. Introduction to ‘For’ Loops in JS
     6. Search Text for Your Name
   • Lessons 7–8: ‘While’ Loops in JavaScript
     7. Introduction to ‘While’ Loops in JS
     8. Dragon Slayer!

   As you progress through the lessons, you will earn more “badges”; and once again, we will want you to turn some of these in.

   If you get stuck, send us a message—you will probably want to copy and paste your code into the message, or else attach a screenshot of it.

   You can log out and come back to continue.

2. When you’ve finished, show us your new badges:
   • Go to the Codecademy dashboard, and look at “Your badges.”
   • If all of the badges you have earned are showing, take a screenshot of them and submit that.
   • If not all are showing, select “View all,” take one or more screenshots (as many as it takes) to show all of your badges, and submit those.
