Number of points: 40
In this assignment, you will learn about the fundamental structures of programming:
Do the activities in the Hour of Code: write your first computer program. You will have some video instruction and 20 puzzles to solve. To solve the puzzles, you drag and drop instruction blocks to create programs that control an angry bird and a zombie as they navigate through mazes.
As you go through the Hour of Code, take screenshots showing that you successfully solved puzzles #5, 9, 13, 17, and 20.
Optional: On completing all of the puzzles, you earn a certificate from the Hour of Code. You may personalize your certificate and attach it (in addition to your screenshots, not as a replacement) in Oncourse Assignments, but it doesn’t really count for anything. You may share it on Facebook, Twitter, etc., and bask in the admiration of your friends.
In Oncourse Assignments, attach your five screenshots and (optionally) certificate.
Partial credit will be earned for partial completion of each section.
